Red Shoe Day- Online Auction for Chrissy's Favorite Greyhound Charity

In honor of Chris Morbelli Urbanowski, we are having an online auction to raise money to donate to the charity that Chrissy so loved for greyhounds. She was an avid lover of dogs, especially greyhounds, so Chris's sister Sue, and the founders of GLiIO came up with this idea to donate in her memory. It is Greyhound Angels Adoption of NJ. www.greyhoundangelsadoption.com.

The auction will be crafts, photos and other items that are all donated to us from Lyme patients and others who knew Chrissy or just want to help keep her memory alive. Thank you to all the volunteers helping us with this auction.

A "Mystery Basket" will be raffled off also. To be a part of the mystery raffle you can donate $1 or more to the "Dollar Bucket" and you will automatically be entered into an online raffle. On July 25th we will do an online raffle and someone will be drawn to win the mystery basket. PS The mystery basket contains Lyme awareness items and some items that are not Lyme related.

Official Name Change to Global Lyme & Invisible Illness Organisation

The Worldwide Lyme Borreliosis Association has officially changed its name to : Global Lyme and Invisible Illness Organisation Inc., as of 19th of March 2015.

This name change was to incorporate the many projects we undertake. For example - whilst we have been working with people around the world for Global awareness of Lyme - especially in the month of May ; we also understand that many co-infection, and other people in our community suffer from Invisible Illness' other than Lyme. Red Shoe Day and the Holiday Project are examples of our projects of working with the Invisible Illness Community.

It is going to take us some time to change all links and headers over to reflect this change : Please bear with us as we update the website and facebook page over the coming weeks - thank you in advance for your patience and support.

Transparenz - Selbstbestimmung - Gleichberechtigter Zugang zu Behandlung. Ich unterstütze diese Forderungen von OnLyme-Aktion.org.

Borreliose-Patienten sollen sich aufgeklärt und selbstbestimmt für die Behandlung entscheiden können, die für ihre Heilung am besten ist.

Bestehende Hürden in unserem Gesundheitssystem müssen abgebaut werden.

Lyme disease awareness day "treated at last"

Transparency - self determination - equal access to treatment. I support these demands by OnLyme-Aktion.org.

Lyme disease patients should be informed and able to self-determination to decide for the treatment that is best for their healing.

Existing barriers in our health care system must be dismantled.

What you have to do:
1. Take a bite out of Lyme, photograph or video it!
2. Share a fact about Lyme Disease!
3. Challenge someone else to take the challenge!
4. Make a donation to ILADS.

Fix Chronic Lyme Charity Run in Antwerp, Belgium

WHAT IS #Fix Chronic Lyme?

It’s a charity run to raise money for research into Chronic Lyme Disease. Chronic Lyme is a multi-system disease spread by ticks. There’s no cure yet and a lot of people are misdiagnosed for years because the illness is hard to identify due to lack of medical knowledge and accurate tests.

At the Antwerp 10 Miles & Marathon on April 26th 2015, we’ll be running different distances (5k, 10 miles, marathon) to raise awareness for Chronic Lyme and collect money for research into this spreading disease.
