As an initiative of the Global Lyme Project’s Awareness campaign this year, we are asking people from the communities in which we live to
‘Stand with Us’ as we continue to Shine a Light on Lyme Borreliosis Complex.

Stand With Us School Campaign
The “Stand with Us’ School Campaign aims to raise awareness and funds to reduce the risk of people contracting tick and vector borne infections. All funds raised will go towards awareness, providing informational pamphlets, hosting educational events and to projects that support the thousands of existing patients.
We are asking families to request their school communities 'Stand With Us' in our efforts and to help up with Fundraising and / or Awareness.

Fundraising Options
- Themed Dress Day: Wear GREEN (‘Lime for Lyme’) and bring a gold coin donation.
- Lunch time disco: Entrance to disco for a gold coin donation.
Awareness:
- Ticks can carry various pathogens. Most of these infections are easily treatable if detected in the early / acute stages, making awareness vital. A segment in the School newsletter advising people to become Tick Aware and to ‘Take the Time to Learn About Lyme’ (With a link to our website) would be of tremendous help with our national awareness campaign.

In addition to the school campaign - empowering our children to be supportive of others in their community by wearing green - the ROARR campaign was designed as a memorable way to educate children (and adults) and to encourage them to be proactive with regards to tick awareness by using the 'catchy' acronym R.O.A.R.R: Repel, Observe, Aware, Report, Remove.
