Dunn-Slóvàcek Familiy

16/11/2015

Status: Angels Chris and Lori helped grant these wishes for this family. A couple other people sent packages also, thank you Michelle and some other anonymous elves!

The Situation:
For the last several years my husband and I were foster parents to so many precious children. Within 2 years we went from a family of 4 to a family of 7. I gave birth to a premature baby (our 4 year old) and were blessed with the adoption of our 14 year old and our 3 year old. With both children having been introduced to drugs and alcohol in utero, and Lydia being diagnosed as a little person, the appointments, Dr's and time consuming activists have overwhelmed and blessed us at the same time. Then, after 5 years of mystery illnesses, our daughter losing a great majority of vision and hearing, we learned our daughter, Gabi, had late stage Lyme disease. It has been both a blessing and a struggle to put this family together. While we are incredibly blessed by what the Lord has brought to us, it has created a financial hardship on a daily basis. We are hoping and praying that insurance and the government start stepping up to help families like ours with medical bills and medication. Until then, we rely on fundraising and compassion to continue on with daily living.

We will update the post to advise when wishes are granted. Thank you for helping spread some cheer this holiday season!
