17/11/2015

Status:  Thanks to an angel named Nicole, Rachel will be receiving at least one gift or donation.

The Situation:
Rachel is 13 year old and has Lyme Disease.  Rachel's father passed away suddenly a little under 3 years ago from a heart attack at age 51. Rachel has been battling disabling Lyme Disease since she was 5 years old. She is now 13. She spends a good deal of time at home due to the health issues. She is undergoing intense medical treatment and could really use some fun things to do while she is working on regaining her health and while she is home so much. Rachel's mother is also being treated for disabling Lyme Disease, as well as, stage 3A lung cancer. Rachel's mom has been unable to work due to her own health issues. Rachel's health also requires close monitoring which keeps her mom at home most of the time as well. The family could really use some extra help at this time. Rachel has expressed that for Christmas she really hopes for a "PS4 Star Wars: Battlefront bundle." She is also very interested in a PS4 game called "No Man's Sky." She is also hoping for a wireless drawing tablet that is MAC compatible. She has a strong interest in visual arts, specifically digital art. This is also something she can do from bed while resting and recovering.

Items on her Wish-list include:
* Game Stop gift card or an iTunes gift card.
* Amazon Gift card.
* A swing to hang on a tree with chains (no rope). Ideally it would support at least 150 - 200 pounds (weighs 105 pounds).
* A simple healthy cookbook for teens as very interested in learning how to cook.

If you can help please let us know by contacting us here.
We will update the post to advise when wishes are granted. Thank you for helping spread some cheer this holiday season!
